Power of the Arts presents a grantseeker symposium, bringing together the Ohio Arts Council, Ohio Humanities Council, Ohio Citizens for the Arts, Mahoning Valley foundations including the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley and the Thomases Family Foundation, arts and culture nonprofits, and individual artists, to discuss arts and culture funding in the Valley and in Ohio.
St. John’s Episcopal Church will host the event in the Great Hall. George Nelson of The Business Journal will moderate the panel and Q&A. Dinner will be catered by Café India, and after the discussion, a trio of Dana School of Music students will play a brief jazz set on Dana’s Steinway, housed at St. John’s: Jason Volovar on piano, Matt Jackson on bass guitar and Hobie Butcher on drums.
