The Area Artists Annual Juried Exhibition

The Area Artists Annual juried exhibition is open to artists who reside within Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties in Ohio; and Mercer and Lawrence counties in Pennsylvania. Works in all media are eligible, including oil, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, drawings, prints, photographs, ceramics, sculpture and crafts. Richard Marx

Richard Marx is coming to Stambaugh Auditorium on Sunday, September 24th. This show is welcomed by Mix 98.9.

Singer, songwriter and producer, Richard Marx, released his self-titled debut album in 1987 providing hit singles such as “Hold on to the Nights” and “Don’t Mean Nothing.” After earning a Grammy nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance, the 1989 follow-up album Repeat Offender expanded Marx’s success with two #1 singles “Satisfied” and most popular “Right Here Waiting.” Marx continued his seven-year run of achievements with 4 multi-platinum albums and over 30 million albums sold worldwide.

Marx started the next chapter in his musical career as a songwriter and producer, with songs like “To Where You Are” the first hit single from Josh Groban, as well as *NSYNC’s 2000 love ballad “This I Promise You.” In 2004, Marx won a Song of the Year Grammy for co-authoring Luther Vandross’ “Dance with My Father.” Marx has written across all genres of music for stars such as Jennifer Nettles, Keith Urban, Barbra Streisand, Vince Gill, Kenny Loggins, 98 Degrees, Sister Hazel, Kenny Rogers and others.

Join us for a Musical Theater Master Class at BWR with John Scacchetti, Thursday, June 22 from 1:00 – 2:30! $25 per dancer.

 

John Scacchetti has performed on Broadway in the 2001 Revival of 42nd Street, and the 2008 Revival of Gypsy starring Patti LuPone. National Tour credits include 42nd Street, and My Fair Lady directed by Trevor Nunn and choreographed by Matthew Bourne. Regional credits include Phil Davis in Irving Berlin’s White Christmas (Arts Center of Coastal Carolina), Cosmo Brown in Singin’ in the Rain (Gateway Playhouse), George in The Drowsy Chaperone (The Cape Playhouse), Mike in A Chorus Line (Weston Playhouse), Slats in Good News!, and How To Succeed…(Goodspeed Opera House). John was recently a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance at Western Carolina University where he reset the Original Broadway Choreography for their production of Gypsy. John holds a BS in theatre performance from Bradley University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude.

An Egyptian Festival will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and noon to 8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at St. Mary and St. John the Beloved Convent, 8640 Squires Lane, Howland. The event will include displays and ethnic food. The public will be able to tour the convent and the bookstore.
